In the pursuit of leadership, akin to a conductor guiding an orchestra, one must turn away from the crowd.

In the pursuit of leadership, akin to a conductor guiding an orchestra, one must turn away from the crowd. Embarking on this path, Delhi Public School Bathinda organized an Inter-House Orchestra competition for students ranging from classes IV to IX on 19th of August, 2023 to furnish a platform for the young ones to unveil their talents.

Each ensemble, comprising of 15 to 20 gifted musicians, showcased an array of instruments including the guitar, drums, casio, tabla, side drum, bass-drum, and xylophone. With fervor and finesse, the participants rendered captivating performances that mesmerized the audience. Their renditions were scrutinized based on their selection of melody, rhythmic precision, seamless coordination, and overall presentation.

The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of coordinator, Dr. Anusandeep Kaur and Ms. Sonia Bharadwaj. The youthful maestros who participated in the competition played a pivotal role in making the event a resounding success. Ultimately, Sutlej House secured the coveted first position, while Chenab House and Ganga House claimed second and third places, respectively. The judges, Ms. Meenakshi and Ms. Pinki, shared words of encouragement that resonated with the budding artists.

In her role as coordinator, Ms. Anusandeep Kaur extended heartfelt appreciation to the children for their enchanting performances, thereby weaving an enduring memory of musical brilliance.

Securing the coveted first prize, DPS Bathinda displayed its prowess. Among our commendable participants were Shubhneet Kaur (9A) and Avneet Kaur (10B). This intellectual showdown encompassed students from classes 7 to 10.

In addition to the grand victory, DPS garnered a special accolade. Shubhneet Kaur was rightfully lauded as the finest speaker, adding an exceptional feather to our cap. Avneet Kaur clinched the third prize for her commendable overall performance.

DPS junior wing (city branch) feels delighted to share about a wonderful visit by Mrs Anita Sethi ma’am (Academic coordinator from Delhi head office) on August 18, 2023.

The little DPSites welcomed her with a series of interactive activities to make the visit special. From a welcome speech to addition activity, story enactment and sharing their school experiences, children showcased the exceptional talent that they possess. Giddha by the little girls stole the show and made the day exceptionally pleasant.

It was followed by classroom visits and interaction with the children.

We express our heartfelt gratitude to Sethi ma’am for her valuable time and inputs during her visit. Her insights and feedback will contribute to enhancement of our educational endeavors. We look forward to have many more interactions and valuable guidance in the future.

Be a hero, always say ‘I have no fear’. Keeping this in mind tiny tots of class LKG of Delhi Public School Bathinda main wing celebrated the great history of our freedom fighters. On August 18, 2023 dressed as freedom fighters they presented a great show. Ms. Anita Sethi Academic Head DPS Bathinda graced the occasion. The programme started with lighting of the lamp followed by a welcome speech by Coordinator Dr. Anusandeep Kaur and our little freedom fighter welcomed the parents. The students of LKG presented great acts of freedom fighters and a dance performance full of energy and love for the country. Principal Mr. Jatinder Kumar Saini thanked the parents and, encouraged students for showcasing their talent. Munchkins thanked special guest, principal and parents for their valuable time and motivation. The event was well appreciated by guest and parents.

As tradition holds, Delhi Public School Bathinda celebrated Independence Day with grandeur and exuberance. A special assembly took place on August 14, 2023, catering to classes I-IV. The stage was adorned with vibrant tricolor balloons and flags, creating an enchanting ambiance. The event commenced with a heartfelt prayer, followed by a soul-stirring patriotic song, insightful thoughts, and current news. The assembly continued to captivate with a mesmerizing dance performance.

In a display of active engagement, students participated enthusiastically in a role play, effectively conveying the message of unity and deep affection for our motherland. The program concluded on a high note with an inspiring speech by Coordinator Dr. Anusandeep Kaur. The spirit of Independence Day resonated throughout, fostering a range of activities in classes I-V.

Among these activities, the art of tri-color salad decoration was explored in classes I-III, adding a creative touch to the celebration. In the realm of art, students crafted splendid tri-color bookmarks, symbolizing the significance of our national flag’s colors. Meanwhile, the young talents of classes IV & V showcased their environmental awareness by fashioning eco-friendly badges from paper strips, meticulously arranged in the likeness of blooming flowers and proudly adorned in the hues of the Indian National Flag.

The students wholeheartedly embraced these activities, channeling their emotions and patriotism through the medium of art.

The event was graced with the presence of the Principal Mr. Jatindar Kumar Saini who was mesmerized to see the talent of the little ones in a variety of eye-catching performances. Dressed in the attire representing the colors of the national flag, the students gave energetic performances on different patriotic songs. Captivating Giddha and Bhangra left everyone inspired and proud. An enactment by LKG students was another noteworthy segment of the event. A heartfelt speech and slogans were delivered by some students to emphasize the importance of the day. At last the school Principal Mr Jatinder Kumar Saini had a conversation with the children about the day and he congratulated them all for their enthralling participation. The School In charge Ms Jaspreet Kaur thanked everyone and highlighted that such events not only showcase the talent of student but also instill in them a deep sense of respect for their country.

In the enchanting month of August, a wave of patriotic fervor sweeps across the land, igniting the profound sentiment of being a proud Indian. In jubilant celebration of India’s 77th Independence Day, a momentous assembly took center stage on August 14, 2023, hosted by the spirited members of Ravi House. The thematic essence “NATION FIRST, ALWAYS FIRST” infused every corner of the splendidly adorned stage, adorned with tricolored balloons, fluttering flags, and elegantly flowing ribbons.

Brimming with enthusiasm, the students embraced the chance to honor the spirit of unity that binds the nation. The assembly unfolded with the exploration of the essence of Freedom and Unity, eloquently followed by the resounding recitation of Gayatri Mantra, a harmonious community song, the exchange of enlightening thoughts, a solemn pledge, a glimpse into current events, and a glimpse of the weather ahead.

A spellbinding performance of classical dance graced the gathering, where girls and boys, bedecked in graceful attire, moved in captivating harmony, weaving a tale of patriotism that resonated deeply. The dance artistry was met with resounding appreciation, evoking an overwhelming sense of pride and joy in being an Indian.

In a touching tribute to the architects of our freedom struggle, students donned the personas of great freedom fighters, breathing life into history’s pages. Vidushi’s impassioned oratory aroused a sense of inspiration. The honorable principal Mr. Jatinder Kumar Saini, graced the occasion with his presence, imparting the invaluable wisdom of responsible citizenship.

Independence Day is a special occasion that fills the hearts of every citizen with pride and love for our country. In a bid to foster patriotism among young minds, the kindergarten students of Delhi Public School, Bathinda (Main Branch) participated in an interactive activity on August 14, 2023 where they had the opportunity to speak lines on their country.

The activity commenced with the young learners dressed as freedom fighters displaying their immense enthusiasm for the Independence Day celebration.

The children spoke about the significance of the flag, the national anthem, national symbols and the diverse cultures that make their country unique. The innocence and sincerity with which the students spoke touched everyone’s hearts.

The Smart Parking System

The Smart Parking System presented here utilizes Arduino, an I2C LCD screen, and Infrared (IR) sensors to optimize parking space utilization and enhance the parking experience. The system helps drivers find vacant parking spots quickly, reducing congestion and minimizing the time spent searching for available spaces.

‘NO BAG DAY’ marks a momentous step towards lightening the load for students.

‘NO BAG DAY’ marks a momentous step towards lightening the load for students. Mindful of this, Delhi Public School Bathinda organized ‘A DAY WITHOUT BAG’ for classes I-III students on July 28, 2023.

The day commenced with a delightful paper bag-making session in class. Paper bags have gained prominence due to their reusability, recyclability, biodegradability, and eco-friendliness, posing minimal threats to wildlife. With this eco-conscious objective, the students skillfully crafted paper bags by repurposing old newspapers. This creative activity not only engaged and entertained the learners but also filled them with excitement to utilize their handmade bags in their daily routines. Moreover, through the Green Cell activity, students actively advocated for the significance of banning plastic.

As part of their environmental studies exposure, classes I-III children were taken to visit a plant nursery. The purpose of this visit was to enrich their understanding of plant life and how a green environment profoundly benefits all living beings on our planet. This outing reaffirmed the value of experiential learning in instilling respect for nature among students.

Throughout the day, myriad of enjoyable and educational activities were led by teachers. These creative learning exercises not only alleviated the burden of carrying heavy books but also enhanced the learning experience. The lessons imparted through different teaching methods on this special day will surely leave a lasting impression on the young minds of our students.

In pursuit of fostering a deep understanding and love for mathematics, Delhi Public School Bathinda organized an engaging and intellectually stimulating event – the Inter House Maths Quiz, held on the 26th of July, 2023, within the school’s vibrant premises. The participants were classified into three categories, each representing different grade levels: Grade 4-5, Grade 6-8, and 9-12.

With unwavering enthusiasm, students from all grades wholeheartedly embraced the opportunity to showcase their mathematical prowess, all while proudly representing their respective houses. The competition unfurled across three challenging rounds, where mental agility, arithmetic acumen, and a solid foundation of mathematical knowledge were put to the test.

Throughout the quiz, the students exhibited impeccable command over mathematical concepts and showcased exceptional logical skills. It was truly a spectacle to witness their passion and dedication to the subject.
